As I was checking the online store ads for local specials and savings I could not help but be appalled by the way the ads were portrayed. These big grocery stores were not concerned about showing healthy or fresh foods instead, they were concerned about selling candies, cakes, and Easter treats packed full of fats and calories. It seems to be that the world has gone to hell in a handbag (pardon my french). With more stores being worried about selling the more fattening aspects of products than the healthier more sustainable products they do have. Companies & Stores a like do not care about the health and safety of the Nation... No they are concerned about what will sell and what will make them a few extra bucks in a day.

As Friday nears, I see just how important the 90 Day Real Food + Real Weight Loss Challenge (read it here) really is. I am seeing things in a whole new light. When I look at ads all I see is how important it should be to the companies and stores to show the healthier options. I see that as a Nation we are not given any say on what should be allowed in our stores or what should be fed to our children during school hours. We have little control over how our Nation grows and yet I stand here today ready to fight to end Obesity! I am ready to show the world that we DO NOT need their foods packed high with calories or fats... no we do not need those fattening cakes or ice creams... we don't even need Easter treats. What we as a Nation need is healthier options for food.alternatives to foods we grew up on,healthier and more nutrient based foods in our schools, more say on what our children eat, more control over what companies throw in our face and... what we need is to fight back and END OBESITY!

I want to take a moment and speak directly to the parents right now.

How many of you have school aged children that come home saying "I'm hungry" or the famous "We only had pizza or lasagna for lunch it was disgusting".

Most schools in the United States have not adapted to a healthier lifestyle for our children. Of course they are offered a carton of milk GREAT but chocolate milk? What happened to offering healthier choices for our children? Some parents have even went so far as packing their children's lunch just to ensure a healthier option than what the school offers.

My biggest question is... Why are school boards satisfied with giving growing children food that is less nutritious? Everything boils right back to the bottom line. If they can save money on the food, cut corners, and put the money to use for sports than it is better served. Are we as a Nation going to continue allowing this?

Our children are the way of the future. They are the ones that will grow up and have to live in this world but what world will we leave them if we do not change the food they eat. A life of obesity? Heart problems? Health issues? Do we as a Nation want to do that to our children? We all have a voice and I IMPLORE everyone to take the 90 Day Real Food Real Weight Loss Challenge and start changing the way of the future. One voice can make a difference if we all stand together. One voice can change the future forever!!!!!
